The short film “Left Hand” will compete in the competition section of the 16th “Menar” festival in Bulgaria.
According to Mehr News Agency, citing the media consultant of the project, the short film “Left Hand” written and directed by Nasrin Mohammadpour and produced by Fariba Arab (Chosen Image Company) is present in the competition section of the 16th “Manar” festival in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The “Manar” festival started in 2009 in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, and every year it displays the best films, documentaries and short films from the countries of the Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa. This festival is known as one of the biggest cultural events in the Balkan region.
The 16th Middle Eastern and North African Sofia Film Festival “Minar” will be held in Bulgaria from January 22 to February 8, corresponding to January 12 to 28, 2024.
“Left-Handed”, which recently participated in the 36th edition of Axgrand festival and will be shown in three Indian festivals in January, will compete in the 16th edition of “Manar” festival.
In addition to participating in domestic and foreign festivals, this short film previously participated in the Deadcenter Oscar entry festival in America and won the bnp award from the 24th Seoul Women’s Film Festival in the international competition section. The medal of honor of the 13th ISFA Academy Awards (Iranian Short Film Association), the special audience award of the Turkish Gobeklitepe festival, and the best film award of the Greek Positive Festival are among other awards of this short film.
